7 Habits - 4 Days

Seven Habits of Highly Effective People

Seminars led by Tom Billings, UBA Executive Director

(Attendance is restricted to members of participating UBA congregations.)

The purpose of the 7 Habits workshop is to make you -- the leader -- more
effective so you, in turn, can make the church or ministry you lead more effective.

The 7 Habits are not the newest leadership craze.  In fact, they're not new at
all.  They are fundamental, time-tested, and proven effective.  The Covey material
does not offer easy, quick solutions for the complex and challenging task of leadership. It offers seven "habits" which, if adopted, can help any
person develop and grow personally and interpersonally.

The 7 Habits workshop is an intensive, four-day experience designed to create a lifetime of positive transformational change with results that are real and measurable.  Transformation is an "inside-out" process.

7 Habits

The workshop begins by focusing within --

  • being proactive,
  • knowing what you want and where you want to go in life, and
  • putting first things first in life.

Then the focus shifts to developing the skills and character qualities needed
to work effectively with others --

  • building trust,
  • working together,
  • resolving conflict.

The workshop concludes by showing you how to ingrain the
transformation process so the changes last a lifetime.
