HOME REPAIRS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Texas Baptists Disaster Recovery and Texas Baptist Men are partnering in mobilizing volunteers to repair homes in the Greater Houston area affected by flooding. We are seeking to serve the uninsured, underinsured, disabled and elderly families affected by this flooding.
August 25 - 27
September 29 – October 1
October 27 – 29
• TBDR Staff will be on site to provide assistance and direction.
• Volunteer teams will provide free labor as affected families will purchase building materials.
• Housing in area churches can be arranged for those coming from out of town. Meals are on your own.
• Local Volunteers will commute.
We are mobilizing volunteers to assist families in Harris (Houston), Brazoria and Waller counties. Recent flooding has left hundreds of families in these areas with no assistance to repair homes.
Our Job Board currently includes over 30 different jobs in these areas. Assistance is needed in hanging sheetrock; tape, bed, texturing walls; installing ceramic floor tile, hanging doors, trim work, roofing, debris removal and mold remediation.
Texas Baptists Disaster Recovery works with local Long Term Recovery Committees to identify hands on opportunities for volunteers to support families.
