Associate Director – Chief of Staff

To ensure the accomplishment of UBA desired results through coordination, direction, and administration of UBA consultation and support services.

To continue on this trajectory, we’re searching for a highly qualified associate director/chief of staff to work as part of our senior leadership team.

From day one, the associate director/chief of staff will have an immediate impact on our productivity: implementing strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and fostering team development. The ideal candidate will be a committed follower of Jesus Christ, possess a thorough understanding and appreciation for multiple models of church, and have a blend of high-capacity administrative skills and team-oriented social skills.

Objectives

  • Provide team leadership and oversee staff development and team chemistry of UBA consultants and support staff

  • Direct and supervise UBA assigned administrative and system processes

  • Assist senior leadership team in decision-making and strategy creation

  • Coordinate and direct implementation of UBA programs and initiatives

  • Provide system-changing consultations to UBA congregations

  • Coordinate orientation and assimilation of new churches to UBA

  • Consistently evaluate and improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for

    optimized efficiency and productivity

 

Daily & Monthly Responsibilities

  • Respond to personnel issues related to effectiveness of UBA Church Consultants and Support Services Staff

  • Serve as liaison between staff and senior leaders regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning

  • Assist with new hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address and resolve all employee concerns

  • Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior leadership team, performing an array of administrative tasks from managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, planning and coordinating UBA meetings, and scheduling facilities

  • Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with senior leadership team on special projects

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications

  • Prepare a regular written report to the Associational Meeting and assist in other ways, as requested by the Executive Director to fulfill the mission of Union Baptist Association

  • Demonstrate a lifestyle consistent with Christian faith and principles; be an active member of a Baptist church

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Church Administration or similar field

  •  7+ years in a business or executive management role

  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams or departments

  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form

  • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity

  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
