Hosted by Texas Baptists Center for Ministerial Excellence, this one-day retreat provides an opportunity for pastors and a member of their church leadership to be refreshed on the theology of stewardship, personal and church budgeting and the care and feeding of the pastor. Pastor’s spouses are also encouraged to attend. Applicants for the Ministerial Excellence Matching Grants are required to attend a seminar.
Join us at the UBA Offices as 2916 W TC Jester on Thursday, May 16, for the second Quarterly Associational Meeting of 2019. Jim Breedon will open as the keynote speaker at 10 am on the topic of Church Revitalization. Josh Ellis will provide Executive Director’s Update at 11am with the brief business session to follow.
Churches that have contributed financially during the past 12 months and have turned in the annual report are qualified to seat messengers for the business session. Everyone is welcome to attend!
What is church replanting, and what is church revitalization? Is there a difference? How do churches know when they need to be revitalized? What can churches expect in a revitalization process? Perhaps most importantly, are there examples of churches that have experienced revitalization? YES!

Safe spaces for our children is always a top priority. Texas Baptists (BGCT) is partnering with MinistrySafe—a national and industry leader in sexual abuse risk reduction with a mission to protect children and those who serve them—to provide a workshop to pastors, church leaders, volunteers, and any who work with children. The workshop provides practical information about abuse and abusers; description of an effective ministry Safety System; and resources and tools necessary to create an effective Safety System.
