Cohorts

Connecting and caring for church leaders

As part of our Collaborative Pathways, UBA hopes to bring gospel workers into deeper, more meaningful, and Kingdom-expanding relationships that strengthen the whole Body of Christ.

Our cohorts are small groups designed to support church leaders in key areas of ministry:

Resilient Pastors

Healthy leaders are the heartbeat of healthy churches. The Resilient Cohort is a 6-month learning cohort focusing on the Five Habits of Leaders Who Finish Well.

These cohorts are comprised of 12-15 Pastors building relationships, encouraging one another, and learning together for the sake of our churches.

The Leader’s Collaborative

Leaders Collaborative gatherings aim to equip and sharpen African American and multicultural leaders for gospel work. Each monthly workshop includes breakfast and a discussion of a key topic relevant to our leaders and their context.

Renewal Chort

Church renewal is hard. Your journey deserves a supportive community. So whether you call it replanting, revitalizing, or renewing, this is sacred work, and there is strength to be found in the community.

The Renewal Cohort is for pastors and leaders who are passionate about bringing life back to churches across our region. This cohort will be built on prayer and fellowship, but we will also learn from our peers and share our experiences along the way.

Missionary Sending Cohort

The Missionary Sending Cohort is for those exploring or preparing for mid- to longterm missionary service.

This cohort helps participants learn and practice:

  • Abiding in Christ

  • Entering the mission field

  • Cross-cultural evangelism & discipleship

  • Healthy church formation

  • Leadership development

  • Serving on missionary teams

Women in Ministry

Women in Ministry check-ins offer connection and care for women who serve as church staff, lay leaders, and/or pastors’ wives. These quarterly gatherings catalyze friendships and support that women need to thrive in ministry.
