These Terms of Use govern your use of www.ubahouston.org, operated by Union Baptist Association ("UBA," "we," "us," or "our"), and participation in our text messaging program. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. Participation in recurring texts requires a separate opt-in; website use alone does not enroll you.

Website Purpose and Acceptable Use

Our website provides information about UBA, churches, ministry resources, events, programs, and opportunities to support our work. You agree to use it lawfully and to provide accurate information when submitting forms. Do not impersonate others, submit another person’s information without authorization, send unlawful or abusive content, introduce malicious software, interfere with website operations, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or information.

Website Content

Website text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, and other materials belong to UBA or their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view the website, share links, and use materials for personal or internal church ministry purposes as permitted by any instructions accompanying the material. Do not sell, misrepresent, or redistribute materials beyond those permissions without authorization. Preserve ownership notices and attribution.

Information and Ministry Resources

We seek to provide useful and accurate information, but website content may contain errors or become outdated. We may update or remove content and change event or program details. Resources are provided for general information and ministry education. Legal, financial, tax, or other professional topics do not constitute individualized professional advice; seek advice appropriate to your circumstances.

Donations and Event Registration

Online donations are processed through a third-party giving platform and are subject to that platform’s applicable terms. Review the amount, purpose, and any recurring payment selection before completing a gift. Contact info@ubahouston.org promptly with questions about a gift, an error, or a refund request. These terms do not establish a blanket refund rule or promise that every gift is tax deductible.

Events and programs may have additional registration requirements, fees, cancellation terms, or participation conditions disclosed with the applicable registration. Those event-specific terms govern the registration. Contact UBA if cancellation or refund information is not provided.

UBA Event and Ministry Text Updates

Program description: Messages include upcoming event information, invitations, registration reminders, and periodic ministry updates. Messages may be sent using automated messaging technology.

Frequency and costs: Message frequency varies, typically four to six messages per month. Message and data rates may apply to messages sent and received. Contact your wireless provider about your plan.

Opting out: Reply STOP to any UBA program text to unsubscribe. You may receive one confirmation message acknowledging your request. You may also request removal by emailing info@ubahouston.org or otherwise clearly notifying UBA that you no longer wish to receive texts. After opting out, you will not receive further program texts unless you opt in again.

Delivery and number changes: Delivery depends on your wireless carrier and device. UBA does not guarantee delivery, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Notify UBA if you change or give up your mobile number so we can update our records.

Privacy: See our Privacy Policy for details about mobile information, service providers, consent records, and privacy choices. Mobile information and text consent are not shared for another organization’s marketing or promotional use.
