Marie’s primary responsibilities are consulting on mission engagement, women in ministry, and church communications. She manages, edits, and contributes content for UBA's blog, website, and social media outlets.
Marie has a B.S. in Foreign Language Education and a B.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of Georgia. After spending two years on the mission field in West Africa, she finished a Master’s degree in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is fluent in English, French, and Jula/Bambara.
She is married to Gene Burrus and has two children.
